Dr. Joseph DeRario graduated from the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1973. He was awarded a teaching position in the college’s Department of Prosthetics where he taught for three years. He opened his private practice during this period in 1974. He has acted as a consultant to approximately 305 dental practices. He continues to keep a personal working relationship with most of these practices. His consulting group offers seminars several times a year. The success and achievement of these offices is directly associated with the successful programs he offers.
He continues his post graduate studies in various areas of dentistry. These areas include periodontics, prosthetics, surgery, and implantology. He received a degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine’s continuing education program in Implantology, which certifies him with all ADA approved implant systems. He maintains Fellowship status in both the Internationsl Congress of Implantologists and American Academy of Implantology. He further continues his education annually by completing post graduate training in specialty areas of dentistry, thus maintaining active membership in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Client Services Manager/ Executive Assistant
Dina Willis is the Client Services Manager/ Executive Assistant for National Dental Consulting. Dina attended New York University’s Stern School of Business where she graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. She began her career as the West Coast Marketing Liaison for Prudential Healthcare. She then moved over to Media Staffing Network, a New York City recruiting firm specializing in media sales positions. There, Dina was as a Human Resource Manager and Recruiter for media sales positions nationwide.
Dina has worked with Dr. DeRario, both chair side as well as in front office capacity, over the past 15 years in both his New Jersey and New York private practices. Dina currently holds a New Jersey Real Estate License and together with her healthcare, human resource and marketing experience, maintains the position as Dr. DeRario’s Executive Assistant at NDC.
Julie Berkowitz is the Marketing Coordinator for Dr. DeRario & Associates and NDC, and has spent more than 15 years as a Marketing and Event Planning Executive in a number of industries. In her current role, Julie is responsible for all marketing initiatives.
Prior to working at Dr. DeRario & Associates, Julie worked as a Consultant in the pharmaceutical industry, where she lead diverse teams to develop and organize creative advertising campaigns to meet a variety of strategic objectives on behalf of her clients.
Before working as a Consultant, Julie was the Director of Marketing & Licensing at Haddad Brands, a leading manufacturer of children’s apparel. There she cultivated and maintained relationships with a number of leading global licensing and retail partners in order to create brand awareness and increase revenue. Additionally, Julie was instrumental in identifying and executing several joint venture opportunities that facilitated the expansion of Haddad’s business.
Julie holds a B.A. degree in Psychology from Hofstra University.

Office Manager - Human Resource Director
Doryce Spinelli is the Office Manager and Human Resource Director for Dr. DeRario & Associates and NDC. Doryce handles all HR functions and maintains overhead control. She is responsible for processing payroll and benefits, staff maintenance and regulating budgetary requirements. Further, Doryce manages all time economics.
Doryce holds a degree in Dental Hygiene from New York City College of Technology.
Briana Melendez is the Co-Office Manager for Dr. DeRario & Associates and NDC. Briana is the liaison for insurance processing, handles soft tissue management and the recall system. In her current role, she is responsible for the daily operations of patient relations and scheduling, processes all dental claims and coordinates hygiene appointments.
Prior to working at Dr. DeRario & Associates, Briana worked as a Production and Development Coordinator at the Knothe Apparel Group a vendor of mens sleepwear. She maintained communications with multiple overseas factories and created the production calendar to ensure timely deliveries.
Before working as a Production and Development Coordinator, Briana was a Sourcing and Product Development Coordinator for Innovative Fashion Group, a vendor of mens and boys activewear. There she oversaw garment costing and reviewed daily communications from several factories. Additionally, Brianna created and maintained production books and approval charts.
Briana holds a B.A. degree in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from State University of Albany.
